Working hours and available time

Utilization is active time on planned work ÷ available hours. The denominator only makes sense if Optimetrix knows each person's schedule.

Set it up

  • Define a default working week (e.g. Mon–Fri, 09:00–18:00) for the workspace.
  • Override per team or per user where shifts differ.
  • Enter public holidays and known non-working days so they are removed from available hours.

Why it matters

If the denominator is a flat 40 hours per person, every holiday, sick day and half-day of onboarding shows up as apparent idle time and drags utilization down for reasons that have nothing to do with the work.
